Quiet details, handled with care
Nothing here shouts. Everything is considered. That is what brings our regulars back.
Wellness & Spa
Thalassotherapy drawn from the water beneath us, treatments across a 90-page menu, and unbroken stillness in twelve treatment rooms. Our spa director trained in Kyoto and Marrakech. The outcome is easier to sense than to put into words.
FIND OUT MORE →Live Entertainment
Jazz evenings in the main bar, headline performances in the rotunda, and close-up lounge sets four nights a week. The Thursday pianist has been part of the house for years. Some guests travel solely to hear him.
FIND OUT MORE →VIP Gaming
High-stakes tables in private salons, without observers, cameras, or hurry. Personal hosts organise transfers, dinner, and discretion. Membership is by invitation, though one weekend stay is often enough to earn one.
FIND OUT MORE →Concierge Service
A team of seven, nine languages among them, on call twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. No request is too modest. Few requests prove too ambitious. Ask us, and find out.
FIND OUT MORE →A shoreline haven, 23 years in the shaping.
Velvetoceanresidence opened in 2003 as one villa on a sheltered bay, and expanded only when we knew we could grow without losing what made the visit worthwhile. 23 years on, we keep 100 rooms and suites, three kitchens and three gaming rooms, and we still decline more business than we accept.
Luxury, for us, is not marble and gold leaf. It is the second coffee you never had to request, the driver who recalls your name, the table held an hour after closing because the conversation continued. We recruit for that instinct and retain the people who show it.
Most of our guests return, and that is the entire plan. We would rather 62 percent of a smaller circle come back each year than chase a larger one that never does.
Favoured by travellers who seldom review
“A gaming floor with polish, not clamour. Uncommon, elegant, precisely why I booked.”
“The most peaceful four days I have managed in years. The sea, the cooking, and nowhere at all I had to be.”
“Unhurried mornings, lingering dinners, a fortunate evening at the tables. Precisely why we came.”
